For many small businesses, social media is one of the most effective ways to reach customers and grow their business. Unfortunately, you can’t just set up Facebook, Twitter and Google+ pages and expect that everyone will show up at your doorstep. If you want to use social media to its full potential, there are several things you should be doing right now.

1) Set a Consistent Schedule

You should be posting consistently at key times. This will ensure that your content has the most chance of being engaged with. It's recommend that across all channels you should be posting at least three times a week, you can maximise your engagement by adding stories to your Instagram and Facebook accounts too.

2) Have a Weekly Review Process

What worked, what didn't work? What's trending, what's not? Some of the key things you should be asking yourself on a weekly basis. If a post is successful, you can easily re purpose this in the future to be of course for another winning post. Keeping an eye on trending audio is also really important. It helps to boost any reels your posting to social media including Instagram and TikTok.

3) Track Your Metrics

If you don't know the numbers behind the content, how will you ever know the content is good enough? The Meta Business suite is a brilliant way to track the success of your content, including reach, engagement and followers. It also analyses the type of audience that you have, like male or female, the age of the different types of people viewing your content and where they're from. This date is incredibly important to be able to tailor your posts for success.
